Mast Digital
MAST Digital (UK), a leading supplier of A/V equipment to the Security, Aerial & Satellite Industries delivers a significant percentage of its business via the online ecommerce portal, based on Adobe Cloud Commerce technology.
In partnership with the project and development team at Comtecs, a strategy was developed to return to the core Magento platform, releasing MAST Digital from excessive contract subscription charges which were not appropriate for their business model.
Having taken the decision to move away from Magento Cloud Commerce the business decided that to ensure continuity of service for its commercial customers the rebuild of the site and platform in Magento 2.x needed to be as close as possible to their existing Magento Cloud Commerce site.
End-to-end programming and delivery was undertaken ensuring site stability whilst maintaining existing functionality within a very tight time frame. Completion of the project 5 weeks prior to their subscription cut-off resulted in a significant further saving being realised by MAST
The change for MAST however is evident:
- A return to ultimate control of their own Magento 2.x platform
- A wider choice of functionality options offered by alternative plugins/extensions
- Improved security from the new platform due to more easily manageable functions
- Significant cost-efficiency away from the Magento Cloud Commerce subscription model
