Having operated an established Magento 1 eCommerce platform, Pro Veterinary required a modern replacement that could retain the specialist B2B functionality its customers and internal team relied upon while moving the business onto the latest Magento architecture.
Comtecs migrated the existing platform to Magento 2 and redeveloped the site's bespoke trade functionality, allowing registered veterinary customers to access their individual pricing once logged into their account. This enables the business to manage different commercial arrangements while providing customers with a straightforward online ordering experience.
A key part of the project was upgrading the existing integration between the website and Pro Veterinary's back-office systems. Comtecs redeveloped the integration for Magento 2 and connected the eCommerce platform with CIN7, ensuring that essential product, inventory and order information can move efficiently between the two systems.
